Students at LMCMS are empowered to excel and learn by doing as they solve practical challenges through collaborative, hands-on experimentation. LMCMS teaches the same core standards of traditional middle school and enhances them with creative, engaging projects that apply STEAM concepts. For instance, Central students may construct models of accessible architecture in social studies, design digital artwork using algebraic equations in art, code their own app in ELA, or create concepts for implementing eco-friendly infrastructure around Lawrence in science.
