Liberty Memorial Central Middle School improves student achievement, success, and well-being through innovative education focused on student-driven, STEAM learning projects.
With more than 100 years worth of student success, Liberty Memorial Central Middle School is still redesigning education with innovative teaching and learning that sparks curiosity, encourages discovery, and motivates learners to tackle everyday challenges. The launch of STEAM@LMCMS during the 2024-25 school year revamped the curriculum at LMCMS with a focus on S.T.E.A.M. concepts and innovative educational practices. Standing for "Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math," STEAM and its five concepts are woven into every class, lesson, and assignment at Central through hands-on, inquiry-based learning projects.
Students at LMCMS are empowered to excel and learn by doing, with core middle school standards like English, math, science, and social studies being connected and enhanced by STEAM-focused teaching and learning. Liberty Memorial Central Middle School encourages students to ask questions and explore creative ways to solve actual challenges through teamwork, community partnerships, and cool projects that expand what they know and what they can do and get them ready for bigger adventures in high school and beyond.

LMCMS Tours Peaslee Tech
Peaslee Tech invited students from Liberty Memorial Central Middle School to take a crash course on a few of their technical training programs. The Mustangs toured the facility, learned firsthand knowledge from current Peaslee Tech students and staff, and even gained some on-the-job experience for themselves.
